Laparoscopic liver surgery continues to expand, as new techniques enable a safe and effective approach to managing liver disease and offering the benefits of laparoscopy to both patients and healthcare providers.
This symposium aims to:
1. Provide an update on the current evidence supporting laparoscopic liver surgery, including indications, patient selection, surgical techniques, patient safety, and training
2. Review the latest techniques for different approaches to laparoscopic liver resections.
Specific procedures to be covered include:
• Totally laparoscopic
• Hand-assisted technique
• Hybrid technique
3. Discuss the clinical and economic advantages of laparoscopic liver resection
